Lemongrass

Cymbopogon citratus

A perennial herb with grassy, lemon scented foliage and rounded fleshy stems. The leaves contain vitamin A and are used fresh or dried, the stems are peeled or crushed to use in curries, stir fries and Asian dishes. Can be grown in pots and garden beds.

 

Season: Spring/Summer

Position: Full sun

Maturity: 8-10 weeks

Usage: Use fresh or dried in curries, stir fies, chicken and fish dishes and herbal teas.
